Zen
Master Wu Bong, Soen Sa Nim, (Jacob Perl) is the BZC guiding
teacher. He's also a guiding teacher of the Kwan Um School of Zen of Europe.
He met Zen Master Seung Sahn and became his first American student in 1972.
He was born in Varsav, he fluently speaks Polish. In 1978 he helped Zen
Master Seung Sahn to establish the first Zen Center in Poland. In 1984
he was authorized by Zen master Seung Sahn to teach and lead the retreats
(he got the Inka) and soon afterwards he began regular teaching in the
U.S. and Europe. He got the Dharma from Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1993.
He is married with Grazyna Perl, JDPSN. Nowadays they live and practice
in the Paris Zen Center, started by them. They have two sons.
Since 1992 he teaches regularly in Bratislava. Lastly he was hosted
by the Bratislava Zen Center in November 20 - 23, 1997, he led YMJJ in
Jakubovany, a village at Liptovsky Mikulas, West Tatras, with 41 students
from Slovakia, Czech Rep. and Austria. We hope to see him in Slovakia again
in the Summer 1998.

Jane
McLaughlin - Dobisz, JDPSN was given Inka by Zen Master Seung
Sahn in 1990. From 1993 to 1997 she was the Cambridge Zen Center abbot,
the Zen Center she's a co-guiding teacher of, presently. She's married
and lives with her husband in Massachusetts.
She teaches regularly in Slovakia from 1993, in Bratislava and Kosice,
as well. In July 1994 she lead 7-days YMJJ at the Okinawa Karate Dojo,
Dobra, Trencianske Teplice. Lastly she visited Bratislava, gave the public
Dharma Talk and led the YMJJ in October 1996.
Lastly she came to Slovakia in May, shel led a weekend YMJJ from May
14 to 17 in Jakubovany, at Liptovsky Mikulas, then also a Precepts Ceremony.
